With an early start, you will be picked-up from your hotel, residence, or from the airport if your arrival time is suitable. From Nairobi, you will make your way through the Great African Rift Valley, an ancient landscape that is still in a state of flux; a place teeming with life and natural history. Stops are made for photo opportunities across the Suswa Ranges and Mount Longonot.
Arrival in Masai Mara game reserve will be by lunch time and your African safari guide will take you through the Masai Mara on a short game drive before arriving at your selected accommodation.
After some time to settle, you can eat lunch at your camp or lodge. In the afternoon, your guide will confirm the following day’s itinerary and give you the opportunity to add any optional extras to your Kenyan safari.

Masai Mara landscape is dominated by the acacia trees mixed with long grass and volcanic boulders that punctuate the landscape. You will head out after breakfast at your accommodation, with your African safari guide on hand to help you track, spot, and identify all the animals you see.
The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450
species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place (July to October). This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. An early start will see you ascend over the land to get a fresh and stunning perspective. After you return to solid ground you will be treated to a Bubbly Bush Breakfast as the morning light spills over the grasslands. This breath-taking experience has an additional cost of $450 per person. Your afternoon will include a further game drive out in the park, with chance to visit new places that you want to explore, or return to spend more time in the areas you fell in love with the previous day. You are also invited to visit a Masai village, home to the nomadic tribespeople who have roamed and thrived in these lands for generations. A welcome dance will be followed by a chance to look around the village and even see inside one of their traditional homes. For the visit, each person needs to pay an additional $20. From Masai Mara, we’ll track north towards Lake Nakuru, through the still-evolving landscape of the Great African Rift Valley. The volcanic landscape, characterised by rocky outcrops and acidic lakes, affords wonderful photographic opportunities en route to Lake Nakuru.
Upon arrival at Lake Nakuru, you will progress to your accommodation and take lunch and time to relax. The afternoon offers time for a game drive, in this park that is an ornithologist’s dream. There are over four hundred species of bird that live here, including bright pink flamingos that dance and display across the lake’s edges. And so many more, of which your guide will be on hand to able assist you identify. What happens next is entirely up to you. If you have an onward flight out of Kenya booked for this evening, we’ll arrange transportation to Jomo Kenyatta airport for you to continue your journey. Alternatively, if you’ve opted to extend your stay in Kenya for one more evening, we will gladly transport you to your prearranged hotel or residence before bidding you farewell.
