Samburu Sopa Lodge
The lodge is strategically situated atop elevated ground, offering sweeping vistas that encompass the distant Samburu Hills on one side and El Ndonyo Keri, known as Mount Kenya in Samburu, on the other.
Arranged in a pattern resembling buffalo horns, a total of thirty cottages converge near the public facilities area, providing resident wildlife with access to the lodge’s open-ended waterhole. The architectural design harmonizes seamlessly with the local Samburu housing style, ensuring a blend with the natural surroundings. Each cottage consists of two beautifully appointed bedrooms, each featuring two queen-size beds, a shower, and a private verandah. The construction, furnishings, and interior decor incorporate locally sourced materials. With high ceilings and ample space, the rooms offer an airy and comfortable ambiance. Two rooms near the reception and public areas have been specifically designed to accommodate guests with physical challenges.
