Welcome to Kenya! You’ll land in Nairobi and meet your driver at the airport for a transfer to your hotel.

Another early start will take you out for dawn across Amboseli once more. With Kilimanjaro as your backdrop, you will be able to get some amazing photographs of the animals in front of the mountainscape. Once you’ve taken in the start of the day it’s time to have breakfast and head for the border.
Your crossing will be at Namanga Border, where you will complete your immigration process and continue your journey onwards to your hotel in Arusha. After unpacking and unwinding, take some time to head out and admire the views. Not only does this city sit at the foot of the 14,980-foot (4,566-m) Meru Volcano, but at certain places, you can also spot the snow-capped table of Kilimanjaro. Coffee lovers will want to hit a café and sample this country’s famous robusta and arabica roasts. After all, Tanzania is the third-largest coffee producer in Africa, and this bean is its largest export crop.

You will be picked from your Arusha hotel in the morning and immediately depart for Ngorongoro Crater. We will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and after lunch we will descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro crater to view wildlife for an afternoon game drive. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, is it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually been seen here. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, we depart the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and drive to Serengeti. This morning you will journey through the geologically stunning plains and ranges of Tanzania, across the Serengeti.
To ensure that you have as much time as possible within the wonderous scenery that packs every inch of this park, you will have a picnic lunch. You will eat with the grasses and animals of the Serengeti surrounding you, and your safari guide on hand to help you spot and identify all the creatures you come across.
The afternoon will see you continue your game drive across the plains and you will end the day at the accommodation you’ve chosen. Here, you’ll be served dinner and have chance to drink in the surround nature as the darkness sets in over the park.

Your full day exploring the iconic Serengeti is in your hands. After you have breakfast you will head out into the park for your morning game drive. Morning is a special time in the savannas of Tanzania, the animals are active after their night’s rest, whilst the air is still cool and sun low on the horizon. Next you can choose to have a picnic lunch in the park and continue on an afternoon game drive before returning to your accommodation in the late afternoon. Alternatively, you can request to return to your camp or lodge for lunch, take time to relax and rest and then head out on an evening game drive. Watching the sunset and the park transition in the routine of the night is a worthwhile experience.
However, you structure you day, dinner comes in the evening, with chance to sit on the terraces, listen to the nocturnal calls across the Serengeti, and watch the stars pass overhead.

After your breakfast depart through the park which gives you one last game drive on this leg of your Tanzania safari. The next stop is the Sirare-Isebania border post, where you’ll take lunch before embarking on your safari again in Kenya.
A four-hour drive, will have you arrive in your accommodation in the afternoon which will be followed by a game drive. If you’re lucky enough to visit during the migrations, between late June and October, you will be rewarded with the spectacle of herds of beasts traversing these rolling plains. However, No matter the time of year, the Masai Mara will treat you to best that African Safari has to offer, and more than you thought possible. After an early breakfast at hotel and quick parking, we depart for the famous Rusinga Island through Luanda Kotieno using a Ferry. Enjoy a 45 min of a cozy warm lakeside breeze of Victoria, feel the blinding glossy white surface of the lake as a result of the reflection from the early morning sun. Take a seat, relax and this experience of a lifetime. Drive through the Mbita Causeway into Rusinga Island with a visit to Tom Mboya Mausoleum. After your full day of activities drive back to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After your breakfast, hop back in the car this morning for a short drive to the border. Your crossing will be at Busia Border, where you will complete your immigration process and continue your journey onwards to your hotel in Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. Lunch will be en-route and your arrival at the city will be late in the afternoon. Spend the night relaxing as you prepare for your next destination early in the morning.

After your breakfast our driver picks you up, from your hotel and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park with brief stopovers at the local drum making center in Mpambile and, at the Equator for some photo taking for your memorable adventure moments and then en-route to Mbarara town for our lunch.
From Mbarara town we drive through Bushenyi, Ishaka, and view the tea plantations at Igara. Your road will then head even higher to where you can see the triangular peaks of the Virunga volcanoes of Rwanda and the Congo. We then drop down into a valley, to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the mountain gorilla. Tonight, you will sleep to the sounds of the mountain rainforest.

Get an early start on your gorilla tracking and report in the morning to the Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger station for a pre-trek briefing. The rangers will guide you through the village gardens and into the forest, escorting you through the bush and occasionally hacking the dense undergrowth with a machete as you search for the gorillas. The mountain gorillas are under 24-hour monitoring for their own safety, so you’re almost guaranteed to see them.
The gorilla population is slowly increasing, but the species is still critically endangered. Gorillas and humans share almost identical genetic material, so coming into contact with human diseases, even via our food, is extremely hazardous to their health. To reduce the transmission of disease from humans to gorillas, you’ll need to keep a distance of 23 feet (7 meters) from the gorillas.
Once you locate the gorilla family, you will be asked to leave all your belongings to one side and approach the gentle giants with only your camera. The guides will interpret the animals’ behavior and advise on what you are watching. You may see females and their young, young males, or even a dominant Silverback feeding, playing, interacting with each other, or just sleeping. The trek usually takes roughly three to six hours, after which you’ll return to camp.

After an early breakfast, we leave the “Jewel of Uganda” behind and start the journey back to Kampala. You will enjoy the scenery – lush vegetation, rolling hills and steeply terraced fields. We have lunch in Mbarara and stop further on at the Mpambire Drum Making Centre. After buying some of these drums, we continue to Kampala, arriving in the late afternoon. The guide will drop you off at the hotel.

Another early start will take you out for dawn across Amboseli once more. With Kilimanjaro as your backdrop, you will be able to get some amazing photographs of the animals in front of the mountainscape. Once you’ve taken in the start of the day it’s time to have breakfast and head for the border.
