Safari planning for Singapore

Kenya Safari Packages from Singapore

Turn a limited block of leave into a private East Africa safari that moves efficiently without feeling rushed. We plan around your flight arrival, school or work calendar, wildlife priorities and preferred balance between Kenya, Tanzania and the coast.

Build the safari around the leave you actually have

Singapore travellers often have a different planning problem from North American or Australasian guests: the journey is still long enough to deserve care, but the available leave may be shorter. The answer is not to stack more parks into fewer days. It is to choose a route with strong wildlife density, sensible transfers and arrival times that preserve the first game drive.

Seven to eight nights

Keep the trip in Kenya. Combine Amboseli with the Masai Mara, or pair a conservancy with the Mara for varied habitats and fewer border formalities.

Ten to twelve nights

Cross into Tanzania for the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. This is the practical length for a classic Kenya and Tanzania circuit without using every morning as a transfer.

Safari plus beach

Add Zanzibar after Tanzania or Diani Beach after Kenya. The coast works best as a deliberate finish, not as two hurried nights attached to an already compressed safari.

Flights from Singapore to Nairobi

Singapore travellers normally reach Nairobi with one connection through an Asian, Gulf or African hub. What matters is the complete itinerary: total travel time, connection buffer, baggage treatment and the local arrival hour. A fare that lands late at night should not be followed by an immediate drive to a distant park.

We recommend keeping the international ticket separate from the safari quote and confirming the live airline schedule before we lock fixed lodge dates. If the best fare arrives late, we start with a Nairobi night and move into the safari after breakfast. If it arrives earlier, the first sector can sometimes begin the same day.

Singapore school holidays and safari seasons

Singapore window East Africa season Best use of the break
March break Late calving season A focused Tanzania journey can catch young wildlife and predator activity. Keep the route compact because the break is short.
June holiday Early dry season Excellent for families: comfortable game viewing, improving road conditions and a longer window for Kenya or a cross-border itinerary.
September break Peak migration period Strong for a shorter Mara-focused safari. River crossings are natural events and cannot be scheduled or guaranteed.
November and December Green season begins Useful for a longer family trip, with fresh landscapes and the southern Serengeti moving towards calving season.

MOE dates change each year. Check the current Singapore Ministry of Education calendar before confirming flights.

Entry planning for Singapore passports

Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Kenya advisory states that, from 1 July 2025, Singapore passport holders are exempt from Kenya’s electronic Travel Authorisation for visits not exceeding 90 days. The advisory also says requirements can change at short notice, so check it and the official Kenya eTA portal again before travel.

A Kenya exemption does not decide Tanzania entry. A cross-border route needs a separate check through Tanzania Immigration. We provide a trip checklist, but only the relevant government authority can confirm your final eligibility.

What your private safari quote covers

Every Nature Point Africa itinerary is built for the people travelling it. The safari uses a private 4×4 and driver-guide rather than a shared departure. The written quote sets out the selected lodges or camps, meals on safari, park and conservancy fees, ground transfers and the included game drives. International flights, insurance, personal spending and any immigration charges are separate unless the quote explicitly says otherwise.

Quoted from the route

Dates, party size, room configuration and camp level drive the cost. We do not publish a single headline price that ignores school-holiday demand or seasonal park fees.

Currency made clear

Many East African suppliers price in US dollars. Any Singapore-dollar comparison depends on the live exchange rate and payment method, so the underlying quote currency is shown clearly.

Designed in Nairobi

You deal with the team arranging the vehicle, guide, parks and lodge sequence on the ground—not an overseas reseller passing questions through another company.

A useful cross-border starting point is the 10-day Kenya and Tanzania adventure. For a shorter leave block, we simplify it into a Kenya-only route rather than cutting nights from every park.

Choose the landscapes that matter most

Masai Mara

Choose the Masai Mara for open plains, strong big-cat viewing and seasonal migration movement. Conservancy stays can add quieter drives and activities outside the reserve.

Amboseli

Choose Amboseli for elephant herds, wetlands and clear-weather views of Kilimanjaro. It works especially well in a Kenya-only itinerary built for limited leave.

Serengeti and Ngorongoro

Add northern Tanzania when the trip has enough nights to justify the border crossing. The Serengeti adds scale; the crater adds a concentrated final wildlife day.

Efficient planning does not mean repeating the same landscape. These three areas create variety without forcing a long checklist of overnight stops.

Singapore traveller FAQs

How do I fly from Singapore to Kenya for a safari?

Singapore travellers normally reach Nairobi with one connection through an Asian, Gulf or African hub. The best itinerary depends on the live schedule, connection length and arrival time, so compare the full journey and verify the current carrier timetable before booking.

Do Singapore passport holders need a Kenya eTA?

Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that, from 1 July 2025, Singapore passport holders are exempt from Kenya’s eTA for visits not exceeding 90 days. Immigration rules can change at short notice, so check the MFA advisory and Kenya’s official eTA portal again before travel.

How many days do I need for a safari from Singapore?

Seven to eight nights works for a focused Kenya safari. Ten to twelve nights is better for combining the Masai Mara with the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Add several nights if you want Zanzibar or Diani Beach rather than compressing the wildlife route.

Which Singapore school holiday works best for safari?

The June holiday aligns with East Africa’s early dry season, while the November and December year-end break overlaps the green season and the beginning of southern Serengeti calving activity. September can also work for a shorter migration-focused journey, but peak camps should be reserved early.

Will my safari be quoted in Singapore dollars?

Most East African park fees, camps and internal flights are contracted in US dollars. We provide the underlying quote clearly; any Singapore-dollar comparison depends on the exchange rate and payment method. Confirm the quote currency and applicable charges in writing before payment.
