When it comes to wining and dining, you would never believe you are in the African bush. Satao Camp’s chefs prepare a tasty range of dishes all prepared with the freshest ingredients. After your early morning game drive, enjoy breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Lunch is served ‘al-fresco’ under a 200-year old Tamarind tree where you can enjoy watching the elephants at the watering hole. And dinner is served in the restaurant area, usually followed by nightcaps around the campfire. Private dining and bush dinners can also be arranged.
Each tent is spacious with slate floors in the en-suite bathroom, which has double built in basins, running water and a flush toilet. Hot water is brought in the evening for use in the novel safari shower. All tents have a veranda with a table and chairs for reading, relaxing and allow’s uninterrupted views of the visiting wildlife whilst ensuring total privacy. All are attractively furnished to a unique African design.
Satao Camp sits in the heart of Tsavo East National Park in southern Kenya. The park homes a variety of animals, but is famous for its large herds of elephant and buffalo (up to 1000 at a time)! Game drives in the camp are offered morning and afternoon, and drive mostly around the Voi River and the Aruba Dam. Mombasa is nearby for safari and beach holiday combinations.
